Join PRONI and the Nerve Centre on 20 September 2023 as they share learning in digital volunteering from their successful CollabArchive project.
Nerve Centre is supported by the Community relation Council’s Core Funding Scheme.
CollabArchive is a digital skills-based volunteering programme that has developed opportunities for underrepresented audiences to engage with the official archive of Northern Ireland. It is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The aim of the project was to develop a sustainable model of digital volunteering engagement that supports new, non-traditional participation with the archives. Volunteers were able to engage with the collections they felt were most important to them.
This half-day event is a chance for organisations across heritage, arts and the third sector to hear first-hand from staff and volunteers involved in the project and to ask questions.
- Hear from project staff about how they recruited volunteers and delivered the project over the last two years
- Understand how new digital approaches helped strengthen engagement with the archives
- Listen to the volunteers involved as they share their unique experiences.
