Community Sports Network’s SheerSKILL programme is celebrating its tenth year this December. This year’s programme has involved over 40, sixth form students from 4 schools in North Belfast take part in sports leadership workshops over a ten week programme. These workshops have included:
- Disability Sport Northern Ireland ‘Inclusive Games’
- Cricket Ireland ‘Welcome to Cricket’
- Community Sports Network’s Multi-Sport & JAGTag
- British Heart Foundation – Heartstart
- Sports Leaders Level 1
To celebrate the conclusion of this year’s programme, the newly qualified young leaders will be assisted by Community Sports Network’s Sport4Development facilitators in delivering a Multi-sports session of Cricket, JAGTag and Dodgeball to local primary school children.
On Friday 13 December, the Valley Leisure centre will be the venue for the young leaders of Hazelwood Integrated College and Edmund Rice College to lead a similar session for the children of Hazelwood Integrated Primary School.

NFL Team Event
Community Sports Network has teamed up with NFL team, The Jacksonville Jaguars to bring Tag American Football to Northern Ireland.
The partnership was officially launched in October 2019 in Belfast where four local primary schools took part in a fundamental skills and game day at Girdwood Community Hub.
