Falls Women’s Centre, who are core funded by the Community Relations Council, are launching a cross-community creative writers' booklet.
The event is happening on Friday 16 October 2020 online through zoom.
Celebrating achievements
Nancy Graham, Good Relations Training and Education Worker, Falls Women’s Centre said: “Together with Shankill Women's Centre, we have decided to celebrate the achievements of the group members who continued to write through the lockdown with the online support of our centres and tutor Jan Carson. Jan provided inspiration and encouragement through regular newsletters and prompts.”
Although tutor Jan Carson and project-funders the Irish Writers Centre cannot attend the launch event due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, there will be a special Zoom event soon to include them both.
The booklet, entitled “This is how change happens!” will be available after the event, and reimagines Belfast with women from both communities getting together to imagine a shared future.
