The €35 million PEACEPLUS investment Area 1.3 Building Positive Relations is now open for applications.
This funding stream invites applications for projects that will promote positive relations characterised by respect, celebrate cultural diversity, and encourage people to live, learn and socialise together.
Supported projects will enable individuals and communities to collaborate across a broad range of areas of mutual interest, such as parenting, arts and culture, sport, education, and social innovation/enterprise.
The Programme places particular emphasis on providing support to those most marginalised within our communities. It aims is to build relationships based on a greater understanding of those from different cultural backgrounds, and to ensure everyone feels part of a wider, more diverse community.
The Building Positive Relations Investment Area is targeted at organisations that will promote positive relations through projects which transcend local boundaries, with cross border dimensions where possible. Projects should have the potential to achieve significant peace and reconciliation across Northern Ireland and the border counties of Ireland.
The aim of the programme is to build and sustain relationships between 116 organisations, engaging 58,000 citizens from all communities, across a wide range of sectors.
Closing Date: 13 June 2024.
