Springboard Opps, a youth organisation covering all of Belfast, is seeking participants in the programmes detailed below. You’ll find the full sign-up details at the bottom.
Journeys
Journeys is a peace-funded programme which is for 16–24-year-olds not in education, training or employment.
The programme has many benefits including one-to-one support, qualifications, residentials, free travel and incentive payments of up to £40 a week.
It also covers topics such as good relations, personal and social development, employability and citizenship.
YouthStart
YouthStart provides participants aged 16–30 assistance to work out their career aspirations and steer through their employability and career pathway.
The programme supports individual development to build confidence, overcome barriers and understand their tailored career development ‘map’. The programme can be tailored around the individual through one-to-one support, group work and training to meet specific needs.
HeadStart
HeadStart is a skills-for-life and work programme for with 16–23-year-olds (criteria applies). The programme operates over one year, for four days per week, starting in September. Young people can gain Level 1 in Youth Work or Level 1 in Business Administration as well as essential skills in maths, English and ICT. Young people will also build key personal and employability skills through work placements.
