A two stranded writing competition organised by peacebuilding organisation Towards Understanding and Healing will take place to honour Lyra McKee.
CRC is supporting the project with funding through its CR/CD Scheme for Good Relations workshops. The competition element (which is not eligible under the CR/CD scheme) is supported through match funding.
About the Project
“It wont always be like this. It's going to get better.”
Writers are invited to take on the challenge posed by this statement made by Lyra whether as journalists or fiction writers, or both. This Lyra inspired theme will enable writers to focus on key issues in our lives: the ongoing pandemic; mental well being; segregation; sectarianism; our Troubles past, present and future; climate change; etc.
