A Peace For All | Migrant Centre NI

Event date(s): -
Peace | NICRC

Join Migrant Centre NI as they celebrate the completion of Year 1 of the Migrant and Ethnic Minority Peace Builders in Northern Ireland project. This three-year project, funded by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, is developing the scope for migrant and ethnic minority communities to have a meaningful role in Northern Irish peacebuilding work.

Participants from diverse communities have participated in seminars, workshops, consultations and networking events throughout the year. These have enabled participants to share their experiences and insights, develop skills needed in peacebuilding and conflict resolution, and explore peace processes in Northern Ireland and beyond.

This event will showcase and celebrate the first year of Migrant Centre NI's Migrant and Ethnic Minority Peace Builders project:

  • Guest speakers who are driving change towards a peaceful future for all in Northern Ireland:
  • Rev Dr Inderjit Bhogal OBE - Founder of UK City of Sanctuary and former leader of the Corrymeela Community

  • Alfie Wong MBE - Northern Ireland Civil Service Race and Ethnicity Champion

  • Lata Sharma - Actor, Broadcaster, and Playwright of Sausage Sodas and Onion Bhajis

It takes place Tuesday 13 May 2025 at 11.30 AM in the Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings, Stormont Estate.
