The Jethro Centre hosts a Practitioners Meet-Up on the third Thursday of each month, between 3.30-5 PM.
The Community Relations Council supports the organisation through its Core Funding Scheme.
The Meet-Up is attended by youth, community, and statutory workers. It's an informal meeting, chance to network, share about existing work, if resources are needed (human, financial, practical, etc). It’s an opportunity to share some of the challenges happening in different roles and places in the sector, with the hope that someone may be able to help or collaborate, which sometimes happens. It's the chance to hear what is going on in the community in Lurgan and ABC council areas.
Some partnerships and connections have been created because of conversations that occur in this space. A few projects have grown out of this gathering, which have turned into unexpected outcomes for all involved.
Whether you are based in the Lurgan area or not, you would be very welcome to come along to the next meeting: Thursday 16 January 2025, between 3.30 PM to 5 PM. If you would like to know more, please contact Carole Kane on carole.kane@jethrocentre.org.
