Ards and North Down Borough Council is holding a series of lectures entitled “Towards Reconciliations in Northern Ireland.”
The 3-part series of lectures will be delivered by Professor Peter Shirlow and will be followed by Q&A sessions. The event takes place 23—25 February 2021 from 7—9 PM on zoom.
The three lectures are:
- Where have we come from? – An overview of conflict and what has happened over the past 50 years.
- What does change mean? – The shift out of violence has led to significant changes in society and a younger population that has very different ideas about the past, the present and the future.
- The next generation of reconciliation – Evidence of a changing society, but are we living in a negative peace?
