An invited audience made up of local youth groups will explore their shared cultural heritage by creating a work of art together, inspired by the names of townlands in their locale. The event will promote respect and tolerance while encouraging participants to learn more about good relations work in Lisburn.

Renowned storyteller Peter Chand will open this year’s Tullycarnet Yarnspinners programme with his unique style of storytelling which draws on his own personal experience of growing up in Britain with Indian heritage. The event, which is funded by the Peg and Jim Armstorng Bursary, will give an invited audience of local school children, the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of cultural integration.
