The Home Office’s EU Settlement Scheme

The Home Office’s (HO) EU Settlement Scheme (The Scheme) will be open for applications by the end of March 2019. The Scheme will enable EU citizens resident in the UK and their family members to apply for ‘settled status’ to continue living here permanently following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union.

TEO is currently involved in HO led bi-laterals and working groups for the implementation of the Scheme in Northern Ireland, with the aim of ensuring that the needs of EU citizens here are represented at the HO and to inform their decisions regarding the design and implementation of the settlement scheme here.

With this in mind we have arranged a number of roadshows from 19th to 21st March 2019 to serve as information sessions for individuals/EU citizens, voluntary and community groups and businesses in a number of locations. A speaker from the HO will be at each event presenting information on the scheme and how to apply.
