Please feel free to contact Northern Visions with community relations’ news items over the coming months or suggestions for studio discussions.
They are also organising a series of discussions exploring the theme of cooperation and would be delighted if you would like to be involved, for example:
- How the establishment of cross-border institutions under the Good Friday Agreement has led to increased cross-border economic and political co-operation.
- The dynamism created by economic cross-border initiatives in the early 1990s and subsequent austerity and how that has impacted on community relations.
- The role of the European Union.
- Brexit and implications for community relations, social inclusion and on young people/next generation.
- Multi-pronged approaches to cooperation including the tackling of urban and rural deprivation, developing common approaches to socially divisive issues; incentives for change in attitudes, the impact of peace plans and ideas going forward to facilitate meaningful engagements between local communities, government departments and statutory bodies.
- How cooperation helps to create change.
