The May 2019 election will trigger the requirement for all 11 Policing and Community Safety Partnerships (PCSPs) to be reconstituted.
PCSPs work with the community to identify issues of concern in the local area and prepare plans to deliver practical solutions.
They also work in partnership with other organisations which contribute to community safety in the area.
I’m delighted to let you know that we have now begun the recruitment process to appoint new Independent Members to our PCSPs who will take up their positions in April 2020.
We are looking for people who have a good understanding of local community safety and policing issues, either through employment or voluntary activity. We want to hear from people who have ideas about how issues can be dealt with in partnership and are keen to apply new thinking and initiatives to existing problems.
You can find out all they need to know on the PCSP website at www.pcsps.org/recruitment. If you require any further details or would like Board staff to deliver an information session to your group or organisation, please contact Sarah Reid, the Board’s Partnership Manager on sarah.reid@nipolicingboard.org.uk or by phone on 028 9040 8504.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 12 April 2019.
