For Interfaith Week 2019, the Northern Ireland Inter-Faith Forum and the local branch of the Council of Christians and Jews are holding a joint meeting on the theme of Religious perspectives on Culture, Community and Censorship.
By means of a panel discussion, the meeting will explore the intersection between the freedom to practise religious beliefs and the law and human rights in a plural Northern Ireland context.
The panel will be chaired by Mrs Shoshana Appleton, and panel members will include:
- Rev David Kale (Belfast Jewish Community)
- Sheikh Anwar Mady (Belfast Islamic Centre)
- Terence McKenna (Church of Latterday Saints)
- Rev. Cheryl Meban (Presbyterian Chaplain, University of Ulster, Jordanstown)
The meeting is fully open to the public.
