East Belfast Enterprise engaged people from across the community to create new artworks for an area close to a peace line.
The Community Relations Council supported the project through its CR/CD Small Grants Scheme.
East Belfast Enterprise delivered the project in conjunction with Belfast Mural Arts. It engaged 180 people from Catholic, Protestant and Ethnic minority backgrounds, both young and old, from either side of the peace line between Ballymacarrett and Short Strand to design. The participants created two pieces of artwork for two exterior walls on East Belfast Enterprise’s City East Building, which faces the peace line.
As part of the project, CRC directly funded 10 Mural Arts design workshops through its CR/CD Grant funding.
