The Integrated Education Fund (IEF) with Féile an Phobail is organising an event on Tuesday 7 August at 13.00 in St Mary’s University College which will explore the role that education can play in the process of building peace. Combining a global perspective, as well as a rights-based approach, our contributors will discuss the challenges facing education in a divided society.
The discussions will be chaired by Gerry McConville (Director, Falls Community Council) and the contributors include Baroness May Blood (Campaign Chair, IEF), Koulla Yiasouma (NI Commissioner for Children and Young People), Máire Thompson (former Principal, Malone Integrated College) and Robin Wilson (adviser to the Council of Europe on intercultural integration and author of Meeting the Challenge of Cultural Diversity in Europe: Moving Beyond the Crisis).
To give us an idea of numbers, please email jessica@ief.org.uk to confirm if you plan to attend. We hope to see you there!
