The Playhouse, Holywell Trust, Thomas D’Arcy Foundation & Queens University Theatre Peace Building Project has received funding from the EU Peace IV programme for a programme of work Jan 2018 - June 2020 that will be delivered in locations throughout Northern Ireland and the Border Counties. The project will programme a range of nationally/ internationally based theatre artists with significant experience of using arts activity in areas of conflict & post conflict / areas of social breakdown to promote understanding, healing and reconciliation within Northern Ireland / Border Counties.
Holywell Trust are seeking to appoint a Community Coordinator who will assist with the delivery of the project from September 2018 – March 2019.
The Community Coordinator will be employed by Holywell Trust, but will be managed by the project Producer. The Community Coordinator will work closely with, and will support the selected National Theatre Director, who will deliver a six-month project. The project will culminate in a theatre production which enables victims and survivors of Northern Ireland Conflict to tell their true-life stories and experiences, and in doing so contribute to a more peaceful and shared society.
The Community Coordinator will play an integral role in assisting with the delivery of the National Theatre Directors theatre project. , Holywell Trust are looking for someone who has great local knowledge, driven by peace building and empowering people.
Salary: €12,000 - 6 month contract starting in September 2018 – March 2019 at 40 hours per week.
