A new learning resource for anyone interested in Women’s History or the history of Northern Ireland generally has been launched. A Century of Women was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund through Consortium partner, Women’sTec. The resource covers the 20th Century by decade and also has biographies of many women and valuable further reading sections. The website was authored by Margaret Ward, Myrtle Hill and Lynda Walker who stressed at the launch event that it is a living document and recommendations for improvements will be most welcome. It is hoped the website will be used as a curriculum resource in schools and by the wider community.
